Will the Jaspa 3 hearing aid work for me?
If you have previously been a successful hearing aid wearer, or have been recommended a hearing aid, then the Jaspa 3 is designed to benefit you. The Jaspa 3 has a broad range of program options and volume levels which are easily adjusted to suit your hearing via the user controls. The Jaspa 3 utilises the same world class digital hearing aid microchip found in hearing aids which cost thousands of dollars.
Why is the Jaspa 3 considered a “back-up” hearing aid.
The Jaspa 3 was purposely designed with various frequency configurations and volume levels so that it would work for a broader spectrum of hearing loss. For example, if you have a mild degree of high frequency hearing loss, you will benefit mainly from accessing Program 1 and Program 2. If you have a flat hearing loss (low and high frequency hearing loss) you will largely benefit from Program 3. If you have a severe or more significant level of high frequency hearing loss, you will likely benefit from Program 4.
In all other respects the Jaspa 3 holds much of the same technology as other more expensive hearing aids on the market including advanced feedback cancellation, automatic noise reduction, 12 digital bands, and wide dynamic range compression system.
Does the Jaspa 3 use an App for adjustment?
No, an app is not required for successful use of the Jaspa 3. In alignment with delivering simplicity and reliability for Jaspa 3 users, you do not need to rely on further technology to program the Jaspa 3 to suit your hearing preferences. The Jaspa 3 settings are easily adjusted with the toggle control on the device itself.
Do I need one or two Jaspa 3 hearing aids?
If you have hearing loss in both ears then you may benefit from a Jaspa 3 hearing aid in both ears. There are a lot of benefits to wearing two aids over one aid if you do have aidable hearing loss in each ear. The following benefits have been found consistently within audiological research.
- Better understanding in hearing speech in noise
- Better localisation of sounds (locating the direction that sounds are coming from).
- Overall better signal to noise ratio.
- Better consonant recognition and clarity.
Can I claim with my private health fund?
If you wish to claim with your private health fund through your extras cover, we require a copy of your hearing test results (simply email to firstname.lastname@example.org) and we will email you a short form to complete.
Your results will be checked and confirmed with one of our audiologists.
Following purchase of the Jaspa 3 aid/aids we will provide you with a receipt and provider number for claiming.
We recommend you call your health fund first to confirm your level of cover and eligibility for claiming hearing aids, as we cannot do this on your behalf.
Does the Jaspa 3 connect wirelessly?
No, the Jaspa 3 is designed as simple to use digital hearing aid, and does not require Bluetooth compatibility or wireless connectivity.
What batteries does the Jaspa 3 use?
The Jaspa 3 takes a simple zinc air 312 battery. With full time regular usage, you can expect up to two weeks from each battery.
Who is suitable for the Jaspa 3?
The Jaspa 3 is suitable for adults with hearing loss. The Jaspa 3 is not suitable for children, and all children in Australia should be seen by a qualified hearing specialist to manage their hearing rehabilitation needs. The Jaspa 3 is not suitable for those who have a “dead ear” or an ear which has no useable hearing. If you have never had a hearing assessment, and believe you may not have any useable hearing in one ear or both, we recommend you have a comprehensive audiological assessment before proceeding with any hearing aid.
Does the Jaspa 3 come with a warranty?
Yes, the Jaspa 3 comes with a 12 month limited warranty on any defect, and will be repaired or replaced at no cost to the customer if required. We also offer an additional option to increase your warranty on the Jaspa 3 for further protection for accidental damage.

Please call us before returning a product to us, so that we can assist you if required, and also be aware of your return. Please note if you purchase additional batteries from us at the checkout we cannot refund the batteries once opened.
